• Mrs. 'bardo's baked beans are best enjoyed out of sight of Mrs. 'bardo.
• You had several 'warnings' from the bus patrols (and maybe even had to go see Mr. Smith a couple times), but in the end you yourself became a bus patrol.
• SODs made the best Trick Boards.
• You stared death in the face to bomb the hill on an old-school skateboard, maybe even trying it on Pete's mini skateboard, "The Dozer".
• It's the only street where you know a kid who missed school because “his butt hurt” (Brett).
• You know that "the kid who owned the street" did not in fact own the street.
• Your summer consisted of playing Guns, Kick the Can, Laser Tag, capture the flag, and long days by the pool....and maybe some time at Camp Van Dor.
• The Wohlsen's pool had a sex machine in it.
• You went to Brett's house because he had a computer that could run X-Wing.
• You had some SICK tree houses. They were worth sleeping in even when the wooly caterpillars invaded.
• You may not know exactly what a Chuckle Cabe is, but you probably know they have top-secret sleepovers requiring password entry.
• You know that crabapples suck, stink, and attract large quantities of Japanese beetles.
• You know that the members of the neighborhood rival ‘Bean’ faction were the entire Troccoli family (including their bitch of a mother), Graham Duck and Brandon Galbraith.
• You were a member of The Tony Hawk Club.
• Your first beer was at a crab feast….at 8 years old.
• You played Parsec.
• When Jamie says he doesn't feel like playing Laser Tag, watch his window for a sniper.
• If you listened carefully in the afternoons, you could hear Pearl’s train to the North.
• Crossing Fruitville Pike was forbidden, and venturing into Chowning was at your own risk (Bean territory began at the fire hydrant past Dr. Mathews’s)
• Corn tastes best grilled, with a hint of burlap.
• Walking through Dr. Mathews’s yard was the equivalent of pissing on the White House lawn.
• you know Dagobah is a rock in the Wohlsen’s back yard.
• Poopy 106 is the best radio station. Ever.
